Summary: The commenter supports the petition by expressing strong opposition to factory farming and advocating for free-range poultry practices. They argue that industrial farming practices harm human health, contribute to greenhouse gas emissions, and are less profitable than small-scale homesteading.
I've raised hens NOT for factory farming. The eggs and chickens taste millions times better when freely ranged, not cooped (excuse the pun) in a building. Literally roaming, eating insects, grasses and herbs. Feed shouldn't have additives other than minerals. How you treat the chickens and what you feed the chickens contributes to humans health. Chickens will always be the number one source for meat BUT eventually we humans will die from your inhumane practices or we'll finally give up with buying and start our own homestead. More states are allowing citizens to have a few hens and we know hens are built to lay eggs. There's more waste than profits when the costs of buying is out of our hands. The waste is also contributing towards greenhouse gasses. Cancers are raising mostly in the USA than any other countries and it's from what we're eating besides the environmental factors.
