I beleive that eggs sold as pasture raised should be from chickens that live the majority of their adult egg laying life on pasture. If it is a landscape that has harsh winters, then they should be allowed to be free raoming in a hoop house or equivilent structure to protect them from the element but other wise should be on pasture.
