I am a 63 year old health care professional. I work at a Midwestern university. We need improved influenza vaccine options for adults over age 50, like me, for health compromised individuals and in tight community settings, such as our university. Review of new and improved vaccinations MUST rely on data and scientific rigor. Even though some people in this area remain skeptical about mRNA vaccines, they should be available to those who want/need them. Many people who are vocally in opposition to the FDA, mRNA, and science in general, have actually gotten vaccines (my FOX news-stuck dad, for instance; he knew he was in a high risk category and did not want to die).
