Summary: An individual commenter advocates for the reduction of animal testing in pharmaceutical research, urging the FDA to consider alternative methodologies and technologies. They support the proposed action's goal of streamlining nonclinical safety studies by highlighting the public's growing opposition to animal experimentation.
People are beginning to learn the truth happening behind closed doors at research and pharmaceutical laboratories across the country. As the voting public learns about animal used in these experiments, especially dogs, they are saying no. I urge the FDA to consider all available scientific evidence as to the validity and efficacy of animal testing. There are other methodologies, other technologies. The numbers of these experiments can and should be drastically reduced. This is no longer acceptable as more are learning what these animals endure.
