COVID-19 vaccines have saved millions of lives globally and remain among the most rigorously monitored medical products in history. Large population studies published in journals including The Lancet, NEJM, and CDC analyses consistently demonstrate that COVID vaccination dramatically reduced hospitalization, severe disease, and death, particularly among older adults, immunocompromised individuals, healthcare workers, and communities disproportionately impacted by the pandemic. CDC estimates alone attribute hundreds of thousands of lives saved in the United States during the first years of vaccine availability. The safety profile of mRNA vaccines has also been extensively evaluated through clinical trials, active surveillance systems, and real-world data involving billions of administered doses worldwide. While no medical intervention is entirely without risk, the overwhelming scientific evidence demonstrates that the benefits of COVID vaccination far outweigh the rare adverse events identified and transparently monitored by regulatory agencies. The Children’s Health Defense petition relies heavily on selective interpretation, speculative mechanistic claims, and ideologically driven narratives that are inconsistent with the broader body of peer-reviewed evidence and real-world outcomes. Revoking approval of these vaccines would undermine public health, erode trust in evidence-based medicine, and place vulnerable populations at unnecessary risk from a disease that continues to cause preventable morbidity and mortality.
