My pet is a Feline, Domestic Shorthair aged 3 years and 4 months. A dose of Zorbium transdermal solution administered was 1ml by Clinician Joseph Frame on 11/16/2024 around 6pm. Her weight was 5.86 kg. The reason for administration was “Feline Idiopathic Cystitis” which is an off label application. The adverse side effects my pet experienced were dilated pupils, high body temperature, agitation, restlessness, inability to sleep, constipation, lack of appetite, did not drink water, and twitching/jerking. My pet had no preexisting conditions and had taken no other medications. The side effects listed above lasted from 11/16/24- 11/21/24. The adverse side effects were reported to the drug manufacturer "Elanco" who stated that this reaction was consistent with Opioid toxicity and should not have been administered for my pet's diagnosis.
