Summary: A patient advocate expresses concern that an unregulated database could be used to arbitrarily deny medical care to vulnerable individuals. They argue that any database with the power to make life-changing decisions must be subject to regulation and that independent companies should not hold such authority.
Patients who live every day in pain have a hard enough time just getting through life. What they do not need is for an unregulated database arbitrarily being used to decide if they can be denied care. This needs to stop. Any database used to make life changing decisions needs to be regulated. Independent companies should not have this type of power of the lives of people who struggle to just get basic care.
