Summary: An individual with a chronic spinal cord injury advocates for the FDA to regulate NarxCare as Software as a Medical Device. The commenter argues that these tools should be held to safety and accountability standards to ensure patients can access necessary medications like opioids to improve their quality of life.
Please regulate NarxCare as Software as a Medical Device so it can be properly reviewed and regulated by the FDA as it should be. These tools directly impact patient care and must meet standards for safety, transparency, and accountability. I had a spinal cord work injury at 16. I have had the runaround for the last 27 years and have suffered chronic pain due to not prescribing opiates. When benefits outweigh risks why can't they be prescribed to improve quality of life? How much do we have to suffer to live a comfortable life? I've been cutoff due to Dr's saying they don't have time for the extra mouse clicks to prescribe opiods. How sadist is this world anymore? Everything is about money.
