Summary: The commenter argues that managing pregnancy with medication requires the involvement of a physician and expresses skepticism about the scientific basis of the proposal. They specifically criticize the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) for being a political rather than a scientific organization.
Regarding FDA-2025-P-0377-0001, managing pregnancy especially as gestational age increases and even moreso when it is not precisely known, this is no small task. Involvement of a physician is warranted. When the woman is using medication to alter the course of pregnancy in a major way, common sense would suggest an expert assistant to facilitate. The science favors this as well and that argument has already been made by others. What we have here is ACOG again demonstrating itself as a political organization not a scientific one.
