Summary: The commenter, an occupational therapist and health coach, opposes the proposed restrictions on bulk drug substances. They argue that restricting access to peptides will drive patients toward unlicensed providers and advocate for the ability of patients and providers to make individualized treatment decisions.
I am a 53-year-old occupational therapist and certified health coach. I went through surgical menopause at 52.
I started with microdosing a GLP-1. From there I added NAD, glutathione, and GHK-Cu to support what surgical menopause had taken from me: energy, recovery, and skin health. A dermatologist had identified a skin condition I had as psoriasis. Since using these peptides, that skin condition is gone
This is not a story about vanity. It is about function. Peptides, used thoughtfully and with guidance, gave me back things that standard hormone therapy did not fully restore.
Restricting access to these compounds will not stop women from seeking them. It will push us toward providers who are not licensed and products that are not tested. Please preserve the ability of patients and their healthcare providers to make individualized treatment decisions.
