Summary: The commenter, a former healthcare professional, supports the inclusion of peptides on the bulk drug substances list to allow for easier access to treatments they use for arthritis and weight loss. They argue that the FDA should not interfere with these treatments and criticize the agency for being influenced by "Big Pharma."
The ability to use peptides should be a discussion between myself and my PCP, not the FDA. I have the right to seek treatment that my body already makes but sue to age, isn't made in as much quantity as when I was younger. Following left hip surgery in 2021, 2022 being fired due to not taking the COVID injection, then right knee surgery in 2025.....I have advanced arthritis in many joints due to working for 44 years in healthcare (pharmacy tech, RN and Nurse practitioner. I have been on BPC-157/TB-500 now for 2 years...without joint pain. Am back in the gym 5-6 days per week and rebuilding musle loss. I am also on tirzepatide and have successfully lost 95 pounds. I just started MOTS-C to help with my cellular energy and assistance with my weight routine. My husband is on BPC-157/TB-500 for his spinal arthritis/stenosis....his pain is decrease by 75% and he can function again. The FDA does not regulate over the counter vitamins yet they are sold in massive quantities daily. The FDA does not regulate the dyes, preservatives in America's highly processed foods but they should. WHY? Because they have been bought out by companies of overlooking the health of Americans, to keep us sick and medicated....by BIG PHARMA.....Big pharma also does not want peptides that are natural and actually help people feel better and function is improved, that is not a patent they can make money on, they are found in the body and can't be patented. So no money for BIG PHARMA and lobbyist to bargain with. Stop playing with the health of Amercians....we will all feel better without FDA interference
