Summary: An individual with an Alpha-Gal allergy and a sensitivity to magnesium stearates expresses a need for more medication options that do not contain animal by-products. They argue that current medication limitations and the high cost of specialty foods are causing significant personal hardship and request government action to address these issues.
I have Alpha-Gal. Allergic to magnesium stearates in my meds. I have lost 3 of my medications because I cannot have the animal products or animal by products. We need more options for our meds. I can't afford a compound drug and the 3 I lost do not even have them in a compound form. Going through detox from my meds was the most brutal thing I have ever had to do. Please help us Alpha-Gal patients. The foods are so hard to find and figure out looking at labels to what I can and can't have. The expense of food with our allergy is costing more than I can pay. I am going without eating because I can't afford the sky rocketing prices of our vegan food. Do something please....NOW!!!!
