I suffer from Alpha-gal syndrome. Two years ago I felt forced to stop taking all of my prescription medications as I was continuing to have allergic reactions even after avoidance of all mammalian foods. All of my medications contained magnesium stearate and some of them lactose or gelatin. It is cost prohibitive to order through a compound pharmacy and a tedious task to confirm if a med is safe or not without trying it. This allergy is already life-altering and any small thing to make it easier to navigate would be a blessing. It is difficult to even find safe medications to take when having a reaction. Pharmaceutical companies having to provide sourcing for ingredients that may be either plant or animal based would provide a much needed resource to those who suffer with life-threatening allergies.
