I would like to request the FDA review allowing veterinary hospitals to carry a maropitant suspension for in clinic use. Vomiting and nausea are often acute and/or need treatment right away. Many small dogs and most cats are not receptive to treatment with the commercially available pill. Waiting 5-7 days to receive a compounded suspension allows for the pet to suffer, and in some pets they will continue to lose weight. There is no liquid form of this medication available to us other than through compounding,.
