Sucralfate suspension is critically important to have in stock in our pharmacy as an emergency veterinarian's office. We see hundreds of cases of vomiting a year, and sucralfate is important to each of these to protect the esophagus and stomach from the acid build up that can lead to painful ulcers, decreased appetite, and dehydration. Commercially available tablets are too large for dogs and cats, making it very difficult to provide this important treatment to our patients.
