I am writing concerning the injectable methocarbamol. Most humans use methocarbamol to treat back pain and usually use a vial or so. My patients, in the veterinary ER setting, usually present for pyrethrin toxicity. We can use 100 cc in 1 patient over the course of treatment. These clients are also usually low income clients that have bought OTC flea and tick control because they cannot afford the higher quality prevention. The costs are extremely elevated due to no longer being able to receive the compounded injectable methocarbamol. I also cannot order it on a case per case basis. I need it available immediately. This is frustrating to everyone concerned.
