The efficiency of providing the drug the same day as the visit of the patient makes a difference for our client. The dosages available in a compounded form will ensure the patient will receive the treatment they need, quickly and in the correct strength. FDA approved Vetmedin has been provided in the past, but the correct dosage and ability for the patient to intake is out of the clinic's control once it is in the hands of the client to administer to their pet. The clinic is relying on the client to divide the non-compounded Pimobendan in the correct dosage and will not be able to ensure that the pet receives the entirety of the dosage if given as non-compounded tablet.
