Summary: The commenter, identifying as a group of veterinarians, argues that the proposed action is necessary to provide timely treatment for sick animals. They highlight the need for faster access to medications like Methimazole liquid and transdermal forms, which are difficult for some pet owners to administer in pill form.
We, as Veterinarians, need to be able to treat our patients as fast and efficiently as possible. This is even more important when our patients are sick and cannot wait 7 - 10 days for their medication to be prepared then shipped. One example is Methimazole liquid and transdermal forms used in feline patients to treat hyperthyroid conditions. May pet owners are unable to administer commercially available pills.
