As a veterinarian we need numerous compounded medications for our variety of patients and specific requirements for administration. For one specific example, cyclosporine 2% we used to carry in clinic for dogs that were diagnosed with dry eye. Now I have to tell the owner that they have to wait about 1 week just for their pet to feel better and start care. Ridiculous.
