The FDA (backed and funded by pharmaceutical companies) has been trying to get rid of competition from compounded medicines for year and has not shown integrity in doing so. The FDA lied and said all of the proposed substances would receive a hearing, but after accepting proposals on good faith, only 68 of 310 substances were deemed worth of a hearing. How is the public ever supposed to trust the FDA?
Section 503A is nothing but a witch hunt to get rid of compounding and support pharmaceutical companies. It does not serve the public.
I have personally derived great health benefits from the use of compounded drugs when the synthetic version caused problems. Setting the stage so pharmaceutical companies can synthesize everything is reductionistic and nature knows better. It would be unfair and harmful to me and others to remove so many of these beneficial compounds and I urge you to stop the witch hunt. The number of adverse events, including deaths from pharmaceutical drugs should be much more of a concern to the FDA and their pharma-partners.
