Our son has cryptogenic liver disease and has been seeing Dr. Berkson for several years now. The ALA infusions he gets there definitely help him cope with this terribly debilitating disease by giving him energy and a notably increased sense of well-being. There is a remarkable psychological benefit as well; when he feels stronger and less fatigued, he is more hopeful and able to cope until the day when he can get a transplant. He lives in Austin and can also get ALA here in between visits to Dr. Berkson in New Mexico. Several other patients we have met there over the years have also readily attested to the benefit they derive from these ALA infusions. We pray that these infusions will continue to be available as they make such a positive difference in the lives of so many very sick people.
