Summary: The commenter supports the proposed action of setting more protective standards for radioactivity in food. They express concern over radioactive water being dumped into the ocean and argue that current US standards are too weak to protect public health.
Now that Japan has started dumping radioactive water into the ocean, I do not wish to see their seafood products re-directed to US markets in response to the refusal of Korea and other countries to accept these products. The FDA must set more protective standards for the amount of radioactivity allowed in foods we consume. Please give this your full attention immediately. The US has some of the weakest standards in the world for protecting people from radioactive contamination in food. This must be remedied.
