Summary: Citizens for Health is urging the FDA to take immediate action on a 2013 petition to reduce acceptable levels of radioactive toxins in the U.S. food supply. They argue that the planned release of radioactive wastewater from Fukushima poses a significant threat to public health and safety.
The urgent problem of imminent release of radioactive water from Fukushima into the Pacific Ocean poses an UNACCEPTABLE THREAT TO THE PLANET, geee, and that includes the US. There is a Citizen Petition to the FDA to reduce acceptable levels of radioactive toxins in the U.S. food supply that was co-sponsored by Citizens for Health in 2013.
That petition is still pending at the FDA! Yes, 10 years ago the FDA said they needed more time to respond - and we’re still waiting. WHY ARE YOU SO INCOMPETENT, EVIL, STUPID, COMPROMISED to be able to DO YOUR JOB???????????
In that 10 years, more than 1.3 million tons of radioactive wastewater has accumulated at Fukushima, and more is added every day to keep the Daiichi reactor cores cool. The plant’s operators have announced plans to start releasing that water into the ocean. Radioactive elements will only be partially filtered due to admittedly incomplete filtration methods, and there is no filtration technology for radioactive tritium.
The FDA needs to act NOW to protect American consumers of seafood and other products, including tea, that may be contaminated by this release. The FDA’s permissible levels are the highest in the world, opening the door wide to risks from these products. AGAIN, WHY? IS THE FDA SO INCOMPETENT, EVIL, COMPROMISED... TO DO ITS JOB? WHY?????????
MAYBE WE NEED AN OVERHAUL OF ALL US AGENCIES TO WEED OUT THE COMPROMISED, etc. THEN, MAYBE the work for the People will get done.
