Summary: Textron is requesting a revision to AD 2026-15-06 to extend compliance intervals for spar cold work kits. They argue that current kit quantities are insufficient to meet demand and propose preliminary inspections as an interim measure to maintain mission requirements.
Textron currently does not have the spar cold work kits available in sufficient quantities to meet operator demand.
Given these constraints, we respectfully request consideration of a revision to AD 2026-15-06 that would provide operators relief from the current compliance frequencies. If feasible, allowing a preliminary inspection of the critical areas as an interim measure to extend the compliance interval would be very helpful. This approach would allow CBP to continue meeting its mission requirements while also ensuring compliance with the AD within a reasonable and achievable timeframe.
