Request to specify and explain “Years In Service”
We are the opinion that an EEC stored in a controlled environment (either EEC’s stored separately, or EEC’s installed on preserved spare Engines) the epoxy deterioration is technically not affected in the same way as an EEC that is installed and operated on an Aircraft.
Therefore, the counter for the “Years In Service” should be treated differently for EEC’s that are stored / installed on preserved spare Engines and EEC’s which are in active operation.
