Summary: Shawn Harris, President/CEO of 5 State Helicopters, Inc., opposes the proposed action. He argues that the FAA is violating its own regulations regarding type designs and questions the lack of supporting data for the effort.
5 State Helicopters, Inc., currently operates two (2) UH-60s. One (1) is an “A” model under Delta (TCDS) and the other is an “L” model under Pickering (TCDS).
How does the FAA bridge the two (2) different type designs? (See Part 39.5). Seems the FAA is violating its own regulations. Where is the support data for this effort? We see none.
We as a company, strictly oppose this effort.
