Summary: The commenter, who appears to be a current or former employee, opposes NetJets' petition for an extension of the duty day. They argue that the company prioritizes profit over safety, suffers from high turnover, and lacks adequate staffing and training for its workforce.
NetJets consistently emphasizes safety and service as their top priorities. However, this extension of the duty day is simply absurd. Safety at NetJets is nothing more than empty rhetoric. This is yet another instance of pushing the boundaries of safety. It’s evident that NetJets has the FAA-designated POI in its pockets!
Management is already disconnected from reality on the road. They persistently seek to extract more from individuals rather than hiring the appropriate number of people to perform the job safely and in a manner akin to a legitimate airline. This includes hiring pilots, scheduling, dispatchers, owner services, etc. NetJets must begin investing in its workforce and eliminate the high turnover rate to ensure safety.
And let’s not talk about their training! The head of training is way in over his head. Concerns go unaddressed and they act like nothing is wrong.
