As a crewmember on a Global 7500, I can attest the crew rest area is not good enough for these kinds of flights. It barely works with the missions we fly now..
The Galley door opening and closing is very disruptive, the mattress pads are not thick enough for rest. Think Gym Mat. The curtains between the crew rest and galley are not noise proof.. Anytime the FA is working in the galley, it is completly disruptive to rest.
Where is the FA going to rest during all this time? Convert them over to ISR and let them be up for 20+ hours? and not be available for use during an emergency?
The proposed self attesting to non fatigue is not acceptable, as the pressure to complete missions will overide honest answers with Flight duty pay on the line.
