The proposed change needs to become reality. The flight experience NFO/WSO aircrew receive in tactical aircraft is matched to civilian co-pilots/SIC. I submit the NFO/WSO flight experience is not comparable to flight engineers, because NFO/WSO aircrew are more experienced. The regulations already allow engineers to count their flights experience towards certain ratings. The NFO/WSO aircrew flight experience also needs authorization.
