Summary: John Cullen, representing the Riverhead aircraft noise committee, supports the proposed action to keep helicopters flying over the South Shore. He argues that the current route is significantly better than previous arrangements and should be maintained.
All Long Island helicopters from New York City to their final destinations are all along the South Shore of Long Island in Suffolk county. I feel all helicopters should keep flying the South Shore over the ocean as they have the past 4 years. Yes it will never be perfect as Jeff Smith told me from Eastern Region Helicopter council but it will be a whole lot better as it has been. Please keep it that way.
