Summary: A resident of Ohio opposes the removal of the Air Nuisance Rule from the State Implementation Plan. The commenter argues that the rule is a vital mechanism for holding polluters accountable and protecting public health.
As a resident of Ohio I'm extremely dissatisfied that the legislators have chosen to remove the Air Nuisance Rule (ANR) from the State Implementation Plan. The ANR is one of the few mechanisms citizens have to hold polluters accountable in their areas. Relying soley on the state to ensure entities are held accountable has historically and sadly consistenly shown itself to be ineffective. Please allow citizens to continue to have the power to make sure their environment and health is protected.
