Summary: A private vehicle owner supports the removal of additional emissions testing in 19 North Carolina counties. The commenter argues that current air quality standards are sufficient and that the testing represents an unnecessary financial burden on taxpayers given the current economy.
I fully support the decision to remove the additional emissions testing in the 19 NC counties. Our air quality standards are excellent and this is a burden that is not needed for the vast majority of taxpayers. I own 6 vehicles and I always make sure they are in top condition with regular maintenance and no OBD CELs that go unattended. With the inflated prices of everything in the recent economy, this is an expense that is not needed across NC. Please consider with proceeding with repealing the Emissions testing in the 19 counties as planne. You have my full support!
