Summary: The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) supports the proposed rule to streamline nonattainment area planning for outdated ozone standards. They request that the EPA also explore similar streamlining approaches for areas that meet current, more-stringent standards but remain designated as nonattainment under older, less-stringent standards.
The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) appreciates the opportunity to comment on the Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) proposed rule, "Ozone Reclassification State Implementation Plan Rule," (91 Federal Register 35639; Docket ID No. EPA-HQ-OAR-2025-0201). WDEQ's complete comments are attached as a PDF. Please feel free to contact Todd Parfitt, WDEQ Director, if you wish to discuss WDEQ's comments.
