I am writing as a tax-paying voter to stop this action! It is a poor idea that will HARM our residents and all Americans. I urge you to instead continue to Maintain the EEOC data - all of it: 1-6. Diversity and inclusion are requisite keys to a happy, well-rounded society. Having friends, neighbors, family, and coworkers of every background and culture is how we have become a first world, amazing country. Diversity and honest representation is paramount to the stability and continuation of a free-thinking and just society. It is what makes my own work life and day to day world as a proud American vibrant, interesting, multi-cultural, and simply wonderful. How dull would be my life if everyone looked and sounded and thought exactly like me. How unproductive and unexciting would be our factories, offices, farms, retail centers, government, movies, TV shows, kitchen table chats, holiday time — our entire lives would suffer if we did not adhere to fair representation and DIVERSITY and track it to KNOW how well we are doing with it. There is no “paperwork burden” associated with data collection; we have been doing it within our institutions and communities for decades. Shirking duties of data collection equates to a lack understanding of just who and what we serve and why. Let’s in fact be BETTER at data collection and tracking - and make goals and strategies to match our true populations. This is what makes America strongest. Thank you.
