Summary: The commenter opposes the proposed action, arguing that it allows airlines to engage in "bait-and-switch" pricing by showing low base fares and adding significant fees later. They demand that the full price of the service be shown upfront to consumers.
This is an airline executive's dream outcome and a complete nightmare for consumers. You don't book a hotel for $11 then see $280 of fees, but that's what the airlines want to do with their fares, a government-sanctioned bait-and-switch that just makes a frustrating booking process a complete minefield. The price we see should be the price we're paying, not a fake-out deal that doesn't exist in the real world. Show us the FULL PRICE up front so we know what we're buying. Otherwise it's all a lie.
