Summary: The commenter supports the proposed fee changes and urges the Department of State to extend expedited interview options to E-1 and E-2 treaty investors. They argue that these investors create jobs and commit capital, and therefore should have the same priority as tourists who pay for expedited service.
I support the public comment submitted by Patrick Findaro of Visa Franchise, and I urge the Department to extend the new expedited interview appointment to E-1 and E-2 treaty investors. Tourists should not be able to pay to skip the visa interview line while treaty investors who create American jobs cannot. Treaty investors commit their capital and hire Americans before they ever reach the interview window. They deserve the same expedited option tourists now have.
