Summary: The commenter argues that the Department of State should allow E-2 visa applicants to pay a fee to expedite their interviews, similar to the process for tourists. They believe this would encourage more investment in the United States and job creation by providing more predictable processing times.
Faster, more predictable processing of E-2 visas means more investment in USA. E-2 applicants should be able to expedite their visa interview like tourists can, since they are making significant financial investment and creating jobs for Americans without any guarantees of visa approvals. If they can pay a fee to bring their interview forward, you will see the number of E-2 applicants increase in future.
