Summary: The commenter opposes the Direct Final Rule, arguing that it will lead to increased radiation exposure and health risks, particularly for vulnerable populations like children and women. They contend that current standards are insufficient and that the public requires more time to comment on the proposal.
Direct Final Rule is a huge plus for those who will benefit from the nuclear renaissance but a devasting cancer/health blow for people exposed to unlimited Nuclear Pollution, especially children, women, and girls. The risk of disease rises proportionately with the radiation dose. No dose is so low that it poses zero risk. The current standards do not protect nearly well enough. More exposure will compound the damage. A cure for cancer still has not been found. The Direct Final Rule is controversial and needs more time for the public to comment.
