I am a disabled veteran who continues to struggle with serious unresolved issues from my military service, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, and related mental health problems that standard VA treatments and medications have not fully resolved. Many veterans in my situation are still suffering years later. The substances listed in this application — particularly psilocybin, psilocyn, LSD, dimethyltryptamine, mescaline, and related compounds — are showing real promise in clinical research for helping veterans with treatment-resistant conditions where nothing else has worked. Approving legitimate importation for research and clinical trials could open the door to new therapies that actually address the invisible wounds a lot of us carry. Veterans Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is only asking to import these substances to support research and clinical trials, not for commercial sale or finished products. This is exactly the kind of controlled, legal research that could help veterans like me who have exhausted conventional options. I strongly support approval of this application. It is in the public interest and consistent with giving veterans real tools to heal instead of leaving us stuck with the same limited treatments that haven’t fixed the problem for everyone.
