Summary: An individual opposes the proposed CY 2027 Payment Policies, arguing that requiring separate visits for evaluations and procedures will lead to longer appointment delays, delayed diagnoses, and increased inconvenience for elderly patients.
This CMS 2027 proposal would be terrible for patients. If a procedure can’t be done on the same visit as an evaluation, then that creates the need for more appts which would create longer delays in getting appts, would delay diagnosis of conditions and cancers and also inconveniences millions of elderly patients that now need to come back and forth to the office for something that originally could have been done in one visit. Please do NOT pass this proposal!!!
