Summary: The commenter argues that health insurance should cover all necessary medical needs, including prenatal care. They specifically advocate for the inclusion of prenatal care as an essential health benefit, arguing that it is a necessary component of healthcare for all.
The entire point of health insurance is to provide protection "If". The "insurance" model is not ideal, because the chances of needing health care - any kind of health care - is almost certain.
People break bones. People get infections. People get cancer. People are born. Please don't tell me that you are considering eliminating coverage for prenatal care because "men don't get pregnant".
Men are born. It IS an essential health benefit.
