Summary: A CFPB Union member, commenting in a personal capacity, opposes the proposed action because they believe FOIA is the appropriate mechanism for requesting employee information. They argue that releasing such records could endanger their family's safety, should require employee notification and the right to oppose, and could be used to retaliate against employees who speak out against the agency.
I am a CFPB Union member and am submitting this comment in my personal capacity. This should not be allowed because FOIA is the proper avenue for request for an employee information, releasing this information will to members of the general public will place me and my families' safety in danger, employee should be notified before the release of their information and be given the opportunity to oppose said release, and this will be used to stop employees from speaking out against unjust or improper CFPB actions or activity.
