Summary: An individual who is in recovery from addiction opposes the proposed action, arguing that it would remove essential harm reduction services. The commenter emphasizes that harm reduction is a vital lifeline for people struggling with substance use and urges the agency to maintain these services.
I can speak from first hand experience on this, it saved at least 27 people I knew then. I know the stigma scares you, you don't understand what it's like to be that person. We are not bad people, we are people who need help. You take away harm reduction you're taking away the ONLY lifeline those people have. Unless that's the reason you want to do this, to "kill off" the addicts. Take away something else that's not saving lives that can change. I have been clean for going into my 4th yr and I used harm reduction clinics all the time. Don't be scared to help in a not so pretty way.
