Summary: The commenter opposes the proposed action, arguing that it will cause environmental damage and pollution to the marine habitat and coastline. They express concern over corporate greed and prioritize environmental protection and tourism over mineral extraction.
If wind turbines aren’t allowed off-shore because of the environmental impact, mining definitely should not be allowed. I can only imagine the sludge & filth washing up on the shores from VA to MD. How is this a good or plausible idea, and why is it even an option? We need power not corporations destroying the marine habitat off the coast of Virginia just to eke out a few minerals. The environment and tourism on the shore are far more important than corporate greed.
