To whom it may concern, I am writing in support of the upcoming BOEM rule change now under consideration. I work in energy procurement as a buyer, and I have seen how clear, consistent rules help companies plan projects, manage costs, and keep people working. From my perspective, this rule is a practical step that encourages responsible energy production while keeping important safeguards in place. I support this rule because it strengthens our ability to produce energy here at home in the Gulf of America, instead of leaning so heavily on foreign sources. When we rely on energy from other countries, prices can swing fast, supply chains get uncertain, and families feel it at the pump and in their bills. Domestic production helps stabilize that, and it supports American workers and American businesses. I also appreciate that the rule maintains existing taxpayer protections. It matters to me that energy development is not done in a way that shifts financial risk onto the public. Keeping those protections in place shows balance. It supports production while still respecting accountability and the proper use of public resources. This issue affects me personally. Changes to Gulf of America energy production can impact my job or income. Procurement depends on steady project activity. When development slows or becomes unpredictable, purchase orders shrink, contractors pull back, and jobs across the supply chain become less secure. I am 25 years old and still building my career. Stable, responsible energy policy is not abstract to me. It is connected to whether I can continue to grow professionally and support myself. Thank you for the opportunity to comment.
