Summary: Robert Sergesketter supports the proposed BOEM rule change, arguing that it provides regulatory predictability and protects jobs and businesses in the Gulf of America. He notes that the rule will help reduce financial burdens on energy production and decrease reliance on foreign energy.
To whom it may concern, I support the upcoming BOEM rule change. This rule matters because it helps protect jobs and businesses tied to energy production in the Gulf of America. A predictable regulatory approach keeps projects moving, supports local service companies, and helps prevent layoffs. It also reduces unnecessary financial burdens that can drain resources away from hiring, safety, and long-term planning. Just as important, strong domestic production reduces our reliance on foreign energy and the price shocks that come with it. Changes to Gulf of America production will impact my job or income, so I am asking BOEM to finalize this rule. Respectfully, Robert Sergesketter
