I work in offshore energy, and I have seen how clear, consistent rules help companies plan projects, keep people working, and invest in safer and more efficient operations. I believe this rule will protect jobs and businesses while supporting American energy production. I am 47 years old, married, and raising two children. My family depends on a steady paycheck and a stable industry. Changes to energy production in the Gulf of America will impact me personally because it could impact my job or income. When projects slow down or become uncertain, it is not just a business issue. It reaches workers, contractors, local suppliers, and the communities that rely on this work. I have worked as an Automation Manager for the past year, and my role is tied directly to keeping operations reliable and efficient. Strong U.S. energy production means continued demand for skilled workers and continued investment in technology that improves performance and safety. A rule that supports predictable development helps companies maintain crews, train employees, and keep small businesses in the supply chain from being squeezed out. I appreciate BOEM taking steps that keep energy production strong in the U.S. Please move forward with this rule and keep focused on policies that support responsible development, job stability, and long term American energy security.
