I oppose any revision to policies for consideration and management of wilderness on public lands that would weaken protections for Wilderness Areas, Wilderness Study Areas, Lands with Wilderness Characteristics, or recommended, proposed, and eligible wilderness. I recommend that any revisions to the BLM’s Manual: Mandate the preservation of finite and irreplaceable wildlands I am writing to express my concern regarding changes that are being considered with regards to Lands with Wilderness Characteristics. I am writing with regard to changes that are being considered with regard to Wilderness Characteristics. I am writing to share my views on the importance of Lands with Wilderness Characteristics Please note the following points wilderness preservation also conserves wildlife habitat in order to make informed decision accurate information and science-based management is required the public’s role in wildlands management needs to be preserved I urge you to pay attention to the points made above.
