Summary: Tyler Waldenberger, a resident of the Oregon Coast, opposes any revisions to BLM Manual 6320 that would weaken protections for wilderness areas. He recommends that any updates should mandate the preservation of wildlands, emphasize wildlife habitat conservation, and require science-based management.
My name is Tyler Waldenberger & I live on the Oregon Coast. I oppose any revision to policies for consideration and management of wilderness on public lands that would weaken protections for Wilderness Areas, Wilderness Study Areas, Lands with Wilderness Characteristics, or recommended, proposed, and eligible wilderness. I recommend that any revisions to the BLM’s Manual: - Mandate the preservation of finite and irreplaceable wildlands - Emphasize how wilderness preservation also conserves wildlife habitat - Require accurate information and science-based management - Preserve the public’s role in wildlands management Our outdoor spaces are for all to enjoy, not just for those with power, money and influence to plunder for profit. Please consider the long term impacts of destructive policy changes for generations to come. Thank you for your time and consideration.
