Summary: The commenter opposes any revisions to BLM Manual 6320 that would weaken protections for wilderness areas. They advocate for mandatory preservation of wildlands, science-based management, and the removal of cattle from public lands.
I oppose any revision to policies for consideration and management of wilderness on public lands that would weaken protections for Wilderness Areas, Wilderness Study Areas, Lands with Wilderness Characteristics, or recommended, proposed, and eligible wilderness.
I recommend that any revisions to the BLM’s Manual:
Mandate the preservation of finite and irreplaceable wildlands
Emphasize how wilderness preservation also conserves wildlife habitat
Require accurate information and science-based management
Preserve the public’s role in wildlands management.
We need to save some wilderness for our children and grandchildren. And while you are at it, eliminate cows from all public lands. They only degrade the landscape and ruin springs and waterways. The cows belong in the midwest not in the west.
